Launch Finance is seeking a strategic and VP of Finance Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of our clients in various industries, focusing on startups and high-growth businesses. As the VP of Finance Consultant, you will lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting to drive data-driven decision-making and ensure financial stability and growth.

Responsibilities

Lead financial statement preparation and monthly close processes for multiple clients.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance transparency and strengthen internal controls.
Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with client objectives and growth plans.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
Manage audit processes and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
Provide insights into financial performance and highlight opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
Partner with C-level executives and other stakeholders to guide the financial decision-making process.
Ensure the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Monitor financial indicators and market trends to inform strategic planning.
Lead and mentor finance and accounting teams, enhancing their capabilities in financial analysis and reporting.
Engage with investors and stakeholders to communicate financial performance and strategy.

Requirements

A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred. A Bachelor's degree with a focus on finance, accounting, or a related field is mandatory. Holding a CPA designation is advantageous.
10+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Experience in SaaS and technology (hardware/software) sectors is essential.
Proven experience as a VP of Finance, Controller, or similar role in a startup or high-growth company.
Deep understanding of GAAP accounting, financial planning, analysis, and reporting best practices.
Proficiency in advanced financial modeling and analysis, along with a proven track record of constructing financial models in Excel and Google Sheets.
Experience with fundraising and working with venture capital/private equity is highly desirable.
Outstanding strategic thinking and analytical skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities; capable of working with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Strong leadership skills and experience in managing finance teams.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while balancing strategic vision and execution.
