As a Calibration Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing base engine calibrations to ensure performance, efficiency, emissions compliance, and control stability. You will work on engine sensor and actuator controls, develop calibration strategies, and support hardware testing. This role involves data acquisition, system validation, and collaboration with engineering teams to enhance powertrain performance and emissions control.


Engagement Details:

  • Length: 12 months contract with possible extension
  • Allocation: 100%, full-time
  • Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, or Danang
  • Freelancers accepted
  • Start date Spring 2025


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute engine and powertrain calibration strategies to optimize fuel consumption, emissions, and control stability.
  • Conduct hardware and system testing in engine and powertrain dynamometers.
  • Analyze large datasets and optimize calibration using data-driven techniques.
  • Work on base engine hardware selection and calibration development for future powertrain applications.
  • Support emission compliance testing and ensure alignment with US and global regulations.


Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 3-5 years of experience in engine calibration.
  • Strong understanding of internal combustion engines, control strategies, and emissions regulations.
  • Experience using ETAS INCA, ATI Vision, Vector CANape/CANalyzer, MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Ability to analyze complex calibration datasets and develop optimization strategies.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills to work with cross-functional teams.
