Job description

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by 👋

Are you actively looking for a new opportunity? Or just checking the market? Well… you might just be in the right place!

At Lightspeed, we're on a mission to power the businesses that are the backbone of the global economy. You will play a key role within our team to help integrate Lightspeed and NuORDER, transforming how Merchants buy from Brands and streamline their wholesale operations in their Point of Sale. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in enhancing the Merchant experience through seamless data flow across platforms. This Senior Product Manager will drive the integration between Lightspeed and NuORDER, ensuring that Merchants benefit from a more efficient wholesale process, including syncing purchase orders, managing product data, and providing a critical view into the supply chain.

If you're an entrepreneurial problem-solver who thrives on improving complex systems and driving data-driven decisions, we'd love to hear from you!

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Design, develop, and implement data integration solutions to sync purchase orders, product catalogs, and supply chain data between Lightspeed POS and NuORDER.
  • Work with Engineering and Design to map product data, order information, and customer data, ensuring smooth integration between both platforms.
  • Enable the creation of purchase orders directly in Lightspeed POS and push them to NuORDER, enhancing the workflow for Merchants and Brands.
  • Leverage catalog data from NuORDER to help Merchants create products in their POS system with ease.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and engineering, to ensure the integration aligns with business goals and improves the overall user experience.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and effectiveness of the integration, ensuring alignment with business objectives and continuous improvement.
  • Continuously monitor the integration process and resolve any data issues to ensure seamless functionality between Lightspeed POS and NuORDER.
  • Create clear documentation for integration processes, data flows, and troubleshooting procedures to support future enhancements and ongoing maintenance.
  • Ensure that all data integration activities adhere to security protocols and comply with industry regulations.

What you’ll be bringing to the team:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve integration issues.
  • Excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively across teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Proven experience working with APIs, data integration tools, and ETL processes in complex systems.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative, entrepreneurial, cross-functional environment to drive initiatives to completion.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development processes and experience working in Agile teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
  • A positive, collaborative attitude and the ability to be a great teammate who others enjoy working with. We value a supportive and inclusive approach to teamwork, helping the group succeed.

Nice to have, but not necessary:

  • Knowledge of inventory management and order processing systems.
  • Retail experience or background in wholesale operations.
  • Experience with API integration and data mapping.
  • Google Cloud Platform’s data solutions (BigQuery, Dataform, Looker)
