Job Role: Civil Estimator

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Salary range: 1,500 - 2,000 AUD/month

Setup: Full-time, permanent remote job, Independent Contractor Agreement

Role Overview: We’re looking for a Civil Estimator to join our team and help price and bid on government infrastructure projects. If you’ve got a sharp eye for detail, strong costing skills, and experience in civil construction, this could be the perfect fit.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing accurate cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and public works.
Analyzing project specifications, drawings, and tender documents to develop competitive bids.
Sourcing and negotiating pricing from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
Identifying potential risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering options.
Collaborating with project managers and engineers to refine estimates and ensure feasibility.
Assisting with bid submissions and ensuring compliance with government procurement requirements.

Requirements

Experience in civil estimating, preferably for government infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing.
Proficiency in estimating software (such as SimPro and GroundPlan, or similar) and Excel.
Ability to perform detailed take-offs accurately.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
