The Role

Pantheon is looking for a front end developer that understands how to deliver complex UI with a simple experience for our customers. The dashboard team within Pantheon Engineering handles the architecture of our front end and services, patterns and reusable components for everyone to use, and are the primary owners of ensuring our customers have all the tools they need to take advantage of Pantheon’s platform. We go deep and ensure that all the fundamentals are in place: accessibility, internationalization, performance, and all the “table stakes” features required of any SaaS platform web interface.

Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with several teams within Pantheon that bring together product, design, and engineering expertise to create and implement awesome, efficient user experiences. This will require your previous experience orchestrating JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and APIs to meet product requirements, achieve design goals, and strive for technical excellence.

What you need to Succeed 

• Curiosity to explore difficult problems, and the ability to learn quickly
• A love of working with a team toward building complex software
• Ability to be on-call a few weeks out of the year

What you Bring to the Table

• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, eg. React
• Experience with semantic markup and CSS
• Experience building, maintaining and iterating on web applications employing back end APIs
• Excited about working collaboratively, with different teams, on different parts of the product
• 1+ years of front end web application development experience

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with unit, functional, integration and end-to-end testing strategies
• Experience with front end build pipeline tooling such as Webpack, or Rollup
• Experience with GraphQL, especially using Apollo Client and Server
• Experience with one or more server-side React solutions

The base salary range for this position is 80,000 - 100,000 CAD per year. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. At Pantheon, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
