The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Data Analyst to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Hunt Valley, MD. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a remote position.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards used for internal financial and business intelligence reporting and customer claims reports and presentations.

  • Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data sets to derive actionable insights.

  • Contribute to reports and presentations, summarizing analytical findings for stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with the team to identify trends and patterns in data that inform business decisions.

  • Evaluate and propose optimal reporting tools to support business intelligence and client reporting needs.

  • Support the implementation of streamlined data collection and reporting processes.

  • Work with various departments to integrate data analysis into workflows.

  • Assist in project management tasks, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.

  • Support the execution of data-driven initiatives and contribute to project documentation.

  • Collaborate with team members on cross-functional projects related to data analytics.

  • Engage in continuous learning opportunities to enhance data analysis skills and knowledge.

  • Contribute ideas and insights to the team, fostering a culture of growth and innovation.

  • Seek mentorship and guidance to further develop expertise in data and analytics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong computer skills and database management knowledge and experience.
  • Understanding of data analysis tools such as PowerBI, MS Access, Excel, SQL, and/or Python to aggregate business intelligence data into purposeful managerial reports and summaries.
  • Strong query skills with ability to interpret complex data from multiple data sources and develop findings and recommendations.
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a data-centric role.
  • Ability to trouble-shoot and problem solve and propose effective solutions
  • Proven initiative and self-starter attributes

Benefits: 

  • Compensation: $60,000-$70,000/yr.
