This is a remote position.

Job Highlights:

Contract type: Independent Contractor
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm Pacific with 1-hour unpaid break
Manage SEO strategies for four websites in similar industries within the cannabis sector
Potential to expand role to include more advanced technical SEO responsibilities in the future

Responsibilities

Develop and implement local SEO strategies for four industry-related websites
Manage full-funnel SEO initiatives to support various stages of the customer journey
Conduct keyword research and optimize on-page content to improve search engine rankings
Collaborate with the product team on technical SEO aspects
Monitor and analyze SEO performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights
Stay updated on SEO best practices and algorithm changes, adjusting strategies accordingly

Requirements

Proven experience in SEO, with a strong focus on local SEO strategies
Solid understanding of both marketing and technical SEO principles
Familiarity with SEO tools and analytics platforms
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills, ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members
