We are currently looking for an for a new Linux Systems Administrator, reporting to the IT Infrastructure Datacenter Server Manager , to join our IT Infrastructure team.

Responsibilities:
The position of Linux Systems Administrator has the following responsibilities:
- Installations, configuring, and maintaining Linux operating systems and related software.
- Monitoring of system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of Linux-based infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement Linux-based solutions that meet business needs.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect Linux systems from unauthorized access and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures to minimize data loss and maintain business continuity.
- Automate system administrative tasks using scripting languages such as Bash or Python to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure proper system security and data integrity.
- Install, configure, and maintain network services, including DNS, DHCP, and LDAP.
- Collaborate with software developers and system analysts to troubleshoot and resolve software compatibility issues on Linux platforms.
- Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades to improve system performance and scalability.
Qualifications:
The position of Linux Systems Administrator has the following required skills:
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, including Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian, and SuSE
- Proficient in Linux command-line interface (CLI) and shell scripting.
- Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or KVM.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and services, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.
- Knowledge of storage technologies, such as RAID, SAN, and NAS.
- Understanding of security best practices and experience in implementing security measures on Linux systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
The position of Linux Systems Administrator requires the following qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Linux Administrator or a similar role. (5 Years)
- Industry certifications, such as Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), are highly desired.
- Strong understanding of server hardware and experience in server management.
- Experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible, is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and stay updated with industry trends and advancements in Linux administration.
- (Preferred) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Inventory and Asset Management Solutions - specifically Netbox
