Why We Need You!

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration and a deep understanding of FedRAMP compliance requirements. This role will be responsible for managing and maintaining our FedRAMP-compliant systems on both AWS and Azure platforms, ensuring the security and integrity of our IT

About The Team

What You Will Be Doing

  • Manage and maintain FedRAMP-compliant systems, including AWS and Azure environments.
  • Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with FedRAMP standards.
  • Monitor system performance and security, and respond to incidents and alerts in a timely manner.
  • Perform regular system audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development and deployment of secure applications and services.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users and other IT staff on FedRAMP-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and compliance activities.

To Be Successful in The Role, You Will Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in system administration, with a focus on security and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of FedRAMP requirements and best practices.
  • Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including managing FedRAMP environments.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate) are a plus.

Roadmap for Success

First 30 Days:

  • Onboarding and Orientation: Get acquainted with the company's policies, procedures, and culture. Meet with team members and key stakeholders to understand the organizational structure and the role of the IT team.
  • System Familiarization: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the existing FedRAMP-compliant systems on AWS and Azure platforms. Review current system configurations, documentation, and compliance activities.
  • Training and Certification: Complete any required training programs and obtain necessary certifications related to FedRAMP compliance, AWS, and Azure.

Days 31-60:

  • Security Policy Review: Conduct a thorough review of the existing security policies and procedures. Identify any gaps or areas for improvement to ensure compliance with FedRAMP standards.
  • System Audits and Assessments: Perform initial system audits and assessments to identify potential security risks. Develop a plan to address any identified issues and enhance system security.
  • Collaboration and Support: Begin collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the development and deployment of secure applications and services. Provide technical support and guidance on FedRAMP-related issues.

Days 61-90:

  • Implementation of Security Enhancements: Implement and enforce updated security policies and procedures based on the findings from the initial audits and assessments. Ensure all systems are compliant with FedRAMP standards.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish a routine for monitoring system performance and security. Set up alerts and response protocols to address incidents in a timely manner.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and compliance activities. Prepare reports on system performance, security incidents, and compliance status for review by management.
