Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Financial Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. As a Financial Analyst, you will support key business decisions by providing data-driven insights and recommendations, helping to ensure financial health and sustainability.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Chief Financial Officer on developing the budget for a global organization.
  • Develop financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and prepare reports highlighting performance month over month, year over year and against budget.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and provide recommendations to management.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and perform cost-benefit analysis.
  • Monitor financial performance and advise management on key financial metrics.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial goals are aligned with business strategy and that they understand the performance and can be improved to drive results.
  • Interact with the Private Equity Firm on reporting of actuals and explaining performance and variances.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Stay up to date on financial regulations, software and analytical tools.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA is a plus.
  • 6-10 years of experience in financial analysis or related roles ideally within the technology or SaaS industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques.
  • Experience with analysis tools like PowerBI is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Sage Intaact, QuickBooks Enterprise and Hyperion is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Have the ability to work under pressure, individually or as part of a team, and meet deadlines.
  • Brings a desire to constantly learn and continuously improve.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Enjoy managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA, CFA, or similar professional certification (preferred but not required).
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS) is a plus.
  • Experience in the technology startup environment or working in a private equity environment is a plus.
