Backend Engineer

About The Role

At Artisan, we're creating AI Employees, called Artisans, and software which is sleek, easy to use, and replaces the endless stack of point solutions. We're starting with outbound sales and our AI BDR, Ava. Our platform contains every tool needed for outbound sales - B2B data, AI email sequences, deliverability optimization tools and so much more.

We're growing very rapidly (closing $xM in new ARR each month). We recently raised a $12M seed round from top investors, and are looking for superstars to join us on our rocketship growth as we relentlessly work towards building a multi-billion dollar company

Responsibilities

• Drive the design, and implementation of our foundational platforms and systems to develop tools that integrate natively with our Artisans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Develop containerized applications using Docker, ensuring a streamlined deployment and testing process.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment, ensuring rapid development cycles and high code quality.
• Proactively identify opportunities for, and driving improvements to, current programming practices, including process enhancements and tool upgrades.
• Present technical information to teams and stakeholders, providing guidance and insight on development processes and technologies.
  
  

Must-Have Skills

• 3+ years of full-time engineering experience, post-graduation with specialities in back-end systems.
• Extensive experience in software development and a deep understanding of distributed systems and public cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• A track record of independent ownership of successful engineering projects.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working fluently with standard containerization & deployment technologies.
• Experience with NoSQL and structured databases.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices and CI/CD tooling.

About Artisan
