Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Symetra’s 2025 IT Asset Manager Internship!

About The Program

We are looking for a motivated Asset Manager Intern to join our team and assist in managing the company's IT assets. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in IT asset management and inventory tracking.

Symetra's Internship Program for Summer 2025 is entirely remote - all interns will learn and work in a virtual setting. The internship duration is 12 weeks, running from May 19 – August 8 or June 16 – September 5.

Potential Projects, Responsibilities, & Opportunities

  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining records of IT assets within the company, ensuring accurate inventory
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Gather and analyze asset performance data, and prepare reports for further analysis
  • Help track IT asset acquisitions, maintenance, and disposals to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure asset records comply with internal policies and regulations
  • Process Improvement: Assist in identifying opportunities for optimizing IT asset management workflows

Your Education, Experience, And Skills

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Supply Chain, or related work experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Asset Management Software
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
