Job description

Full-time Mental Health Counselor in California (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC)

We are currently seeking experienced Licensed Mental Health Professionals (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC) for our outpatient practice in California. If you’re an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC licensed in California with at least 1 year of experience, we want to hear from you!

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to determine family needs and connect them with suitable community-based resources
  • Provide support to families in crises, leveraging your knowledge of substance abuse, domestic violence, child maltreatment, trauma, and mental health challenges
  • Educate team members on clients’ psychosocial challenges to ensure cohesive care and successful outcomes
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive documentation of patient histories, assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress reports
  • Provide customized support to clinicians and patients to streamline the process of both seeking and providing care
  • Prepare effective written reports
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Communicate effectively in oral and written form
  • Provide effective training, guidance, and consultation to other staff
  • Assist in physically controlling and/or restraining violent and/or combative patients

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health-related field
  • Current state-board-approved clinical license
  • Proficiency with telehealth platforms and digital documentation
  • Strong background in clinical counseling techniques and methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse populations
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and support
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
