Job description

The Role

As Senior Director of Brand Media Strategy & Planning, you will serve as a strategic leader within the agency, developing innovative, brand forward, cross-channel media strategies that effectively connect brands with their target audiences while addressing full-funnel business objectives. This senior role requires both visionary leadership and tactical expertise to craft compelling narratives that drive measurable outcomes across the full consumer journey.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the evolving media landscape, consumer behavior patterns, full funnel measurement and emerging/innovative platforms, combined with exceptional storytelling abilities to translate complex ideas into compelling campaign platforms that resonate with both clients and target audiences.

TL;DR, you will be able to identify the “aha” strategic media statement that will guide full funnel tactical executions.

The anticipated annual salary for this role will range from $138,000 - $165,000, based on consideration of a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education and certifications, competitive benchmarks, scope of responsibility, market dynamics, geographic location, and respective state’s salary threshold for exempt employees. The total compensation package for this role will include benefits (listed above) and an annual performance bonus.

This role has an associated annual target bonus component which is paid out based on a number of factors which include Company performance, department performance, and individual performance. Bonuses are not guaranteed and you must be an active employee in good standing and not on a Performance Improvement Plan to be eligible for the annual bonus.

*This position may be performed remotely in most states within the US, with some exclusions

You Will Be
  • Leading the overarching guidance of cross-channel media strategies across Branded Content Sponsorships, Programmatic (Display, Video, TV, OTT, Audio, DOOH), Social, Search
  • Working closely with Comms & Audience Strategy teams to identify and analyze category, cultural, and consumer insights to inform strategic approaches and media mix recommendations
  • Developing deep understanding of client businesses, industries, and competitive landscapes
  • Fostering collaboration between media, creative, data, analytics, and account teams to ensure proper execution of strategies
  • Driving strategic innovation within the organization, facilitating new channel exploration and partner RFPs
  • Representing the agency's strategic point of view in client presentations and contributing to new business pitches


  • You Must Have
  • 8+ years of experience in media planning, media strategy, connections strategy, or related fields
  • Proven track record developing and optimizing integrated media strategies across branded content/sponsorships, traditional and digital channels
  • Experience leading cross-channel client engagements with minimal oversight
  • Background in client and executive relationship management at a senior level
  • Experience contributing to new business pitches 
  • Deep understanding of the media landscape, including digital, social, programmatic, and traditional channels
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex stories into a simplified approach
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills that inspire clients and teams
  • Proficiency in media planning tools and research platforms
  • Understanding of measurement methodologies and attribution models
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field
