Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for undertaking all production accounting activities, including preparing, reviewing, and analysing financial statements and taxation requirements and delivering associated quality, professional accounting outcomes.
Job Description:
Organize and update financial records as needed (digital) for tax purposes
Deliver operating efficiencies through Xero and business systems
Responsible for tracking and following up on accounts receivable
Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare management accounts
Strong knowledge and experience in Australian tax compliance
Preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS), Installment Activity Statements (IAS) & client payroll tax reports
General bookkeeping procedures and other ad hoc tasks as required
Stay informed on industry developments and changes in regulations
Requirements
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or any relevant field; CPA or any relevant certification preferred
3+ years' experience in general accounting and taxation or similar role in the Australian accounting industry
Strong knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices
Demonstrable knowledge of preparing financial statements of companies, trusts, partnerships
High competence in preparing and finalising company, trust & partnership tax returns
Working knowledge of MS Office and various accounting software packages – 360, Xero, Xero Tax
Strong attention to detail, time management, and accounting administration skills
Strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal English business communication skills

Work Schedule: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (AEDT) | 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (PH Time)
