Job Summary:

The primary role is to oversee the development of process improvements, provide direction to management impacting staffing, oversee work process flows to ensure prioritization of projects and work. Implements programs and ensures effective operations to ensure efficient operations to generate sufficient cash flow to support operations and initiatives. Oversees the performance and integrity of the department through the development of accurate reporting, monitoring, and training.

Job Duties:

  • Works in conjunction with other areas within Revenue Management and inter-departmental hospital teams to insure coordinated activities with respect to Revenue Management and clinical operations.
  • Develops, implements, and directs various quality initiatives to insure continuous monitoring and improvements including an overall department operating and capital budget within pre-determined limits.
  • Recruits and develops new personnel.
  • Ensures training, development, discipline and performance appraisals on current personnel are completed timely along with recommending direction and improvements to help the employee meet department goals.
  • Identifies and develops a comprehensive procedure manual of all billing processes.
  • In concert with other Revenue Cycle staff, identifies, and implements best practice parameters and goals.
  • Develops, monitors, and reports on department metric performance to ensure that organizational goals and objectives are completed.
  • Facilitates various technological initiatives in support of business process improvements with respect to pre-service activities.
