Summary:
Support the growth and development of the business by participating in transformative projects, analyzing financial models and results, and building collateral for a positive impact on our organization. Define and analyze data requirements needed to support business processes for information systems. This includes, but is not limited to, creating, and executing regular sales operations reporting in partnership with other the Commercial Analytics team as well as enterprise data teams. Research complex business analysis problems to support executive decision making, including business performance analysis, trending, and forecasting.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the growth and development of the business by participating in transformative projects, analyzing business models and results, and creating collateral that positively impacts our organization
Define and analyze data requirements essential for supporting business processes within information systems
Create and execute regular operational reporting in collaboration with other analytical teams
Develop and implement BI dashboards using Power BI, synthesizing information from multiple systems to enhance performance
Provide data and analysis to facilitate key business decisions, resource allocation, optimization of work processes, and support B2B initiatives
Compile, organize, interpret, and communicate business data and results regularly
Build relationships with customer teams and collaborate to understand their requirements and business objectives
Work with operational teams to ensure smooth transitions and business readiness, including training and customer support
Prepare actionable reports to identify business opportunities, trends, and make recommendations based on analysis
Proactively research complex business analysis problems to support executive decision-making, including performance analysis, trending, and forecasting
Gather requirements to develop reporting and analysis solutions that meet the needs of the business and stakeholders
Work with technical and business leaders to develop and maintain both ongoing and ad-hoc reports tracking key performance metrics related to business performance support and process improvement
Independently analyze data sets to create effective data solutions
Correlate, synthesize, validate, and report on operational, customer engagement, quantitative, and qualitative data points to identify key insights and trends
Work with IT and internal/external partners to drive proactive analytics, trend monitoring, and ensure reporting accuracy for channel performance metrics
Troubleshoot and develop solutions for issues related to data aggregation and reporting
Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and drive automation of various processes
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a business, accounting, finance, IT or related discipline
Three or more years' experience in analytics with responsibility for developing and delivering complex analysis, reports, dashboards, trends and forecasts
Minimum one-year experience with systems development, data management, and business intelligence (BI)
Experience with SQL, Salesforce, Tableau, Alteryx and/or other BI tools
Experience working with pharmaceutical or healthcare data is preferred
Proficient with advanced SQL coding/querying, automated reporting and process analysis, design, re-engineering
Demonstrated independent thinking, relationship management and attention to detail
Demonstrated strong analytical, communication, leadership and presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with deep expertise in building complex tables and macros in Excel
Strong quantitative skills and the ability to correlate both qualitative and quantitative data to produce actionable insights
Self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit
Strong project management skills
