Position Overview 


Partner with Corporate and Project teams to develop and write technical, informative, and educational material. Assume responsibility for the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of technical documents, including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation.


Responsibilities

  • Author a wide variety of technical and training documentation such as processes, project documentation, and other communications.
  • Improve and edit documents for clarity, consistency, accessibility, and instructional efficacy.
  • Create and maintain Section 508-compliant documentation.
  • Support and administer our enterprise lifecycle management system, including maintaining content, communicating with end users, answering questions, and facilitating discussions.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policy directives and other guidance materials.
  • Coordinate with subject-matter experts (SMEs) and Project team leadership to gather and document complex system and process requirements.
  • Present Project documentation at various stages of development to client and Project team to garner feedback, assess progress, or shift direction as needed.
  • Attend and take meeting minutes at weekly client meetings as required.
  • Write and update internal and external manuals for end-user support.
  • Review and edit key deliverables for the project.
  • Update all pertinent documentation after each release.
     
Qualifications

  • US citizen or Authorized to Work and lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years. Must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a government Public Trust.
  • Minimum of 4 years of overall experience with at least 6 years of experience understanding business processes and documenting requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Office suites including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Highly organized
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience organizing complex information from a variety of sources
  • Experience creating and reviewing material for Section 508 compliance
  • CMS, HHS, or other government experience preferred
  • Self-motivated and creative minded

 

The salary range provided represents the estimated compensation for new hires in this position, applicable across all locations. Actual offers may vary based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and market conditions. Index complements its base salary offering with a competitive package that includes health and retirement benefits, discretionary bonuses, and reimbursement for professional development opportunities.
