Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Description:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with other accounting tasks.This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will be proficient in bookkeeping software and have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles. 



Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements. 
  • Prepare and process invoices.
  • Assist with payroll processing.
  • Generate financial reports as needed.
  • Manage and organize financial documents.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Handle data entry and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with sales tax filings.
  • Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding billing and payments.





Requirements
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience.
    • Experience working in a small to medium-sized business is preferred.
    • Experience with a WISP, or other technical company is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
    • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
    • Excellent data entry and organizational skills.
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
