Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate or Senior Analyst to join our dynamic private equity team. This role requires exceptional financial modeling, presentation, and research skills. The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication abilities, fluency in English, and working knowledge of French (preferred). The candidate will play a critical role in evaluating investment opportunities, supporting portfolio management, and contributing to the overall success of the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Investment Analysis and Modeling
- Build and maintain advanced financial models to evaluate potential
investment opportunities. - Conduct detailed valuation analyses, including discounted cash flow (DCF), income capitalization, comparable company, and precedent transaction methodologies.
2. Market and Industry Research
- Perform comprehensive market, industry, and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Analyze macroeconomic data and sector-specific drivers to support
investment theses.
3. Presentation and Reporting
- Prepare high-quality investment memos, pitch decks, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Synthesize and present research findings, financial analyses, and
recommendations to the investment committee.
4. Deal Execution
- Support the execution of transactions, including due diligence, negotiation, and documentation.
- Collaborate with legal, tax, and operational advisors during deal structuring.
5. Portfolio Management
- Monitor portfolio company performance and assist in developing value creation strategies.
- Prepare quarterly and annual performance reports for investors.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field. CFA/CAIA/ICAN designation is a plus.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or consulting.
Skills
- Proficiency in advanced financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong presentation skills with expertise in PowerPoint.
- Excellent research and analytical abilities.
- Working knowledge of the real estate, power and infrastructure space highly desirable
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English.
- Working knowledge of French is highly desirable.
Technical Tools: Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial databases such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or FactSet is advantageous.
