Job description

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Technical Writer to produce high-quality technical documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills, a deep understanding of technical concepts, and the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise, and user-friendly content. The role is located in Lagos but provides flexibility for some remote work.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, and service manuals.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product development, and customer support teams to gather information and understand documentation requirements.
  • Create clear, concise, and accurate written content that effectively communicates complex technical information to various audiences.
  • Update and revise existing documentation to reflect product updates, enhancements, and new features.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with company standards, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Use diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to enhance the clarity and usability of documentation.
  • Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials.
  • Continuously seek feedback from users and stakeholders to improve documentation quality and effectiveness.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Author, Technical Writer, or similar role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in using documentation tools and software
  • Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
