The Role
Envitia is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Senior Business Development Manager to join our growing Sales team and drive strategic growth within the UK Central Government sector. In this pivotal role, you will identify, shape, and secure high-value opportunities, expanding our customer base and accelerating revenue growth in one of our key strategic markets.
As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and shape our central government portfolio, developing an engaged pipeline to drive transformational growth. You will play a key role in building relationships, influencing stakeholders, and positioning Envitia as a trusted partner for cutting-edge solutions.

Job Responsibilities
- Opportunity Identification. Proactively identify and evaluate potential business opportunities within the UK Central Government sector, focusing on those that align with Envitia’s strengths and capabilities.
- Relationship Building. Establish and nurture strong relationships with new and existing clients and partners to foster business opportunities.
- Strategic Collaboration. Work closely with internal teams, including Marketing, Operations, Consulting and Delivery to develop coherent business strategies that align with company objectives.
- Market Analysis. Conduct detailed market analysis to understand trends, challenges, and opportunities in the industry, adapting strategies as necessary.
- Proposal Development. Lead the development of compelling proposals and presentations to secure business contracts.
- Capture Planning. Lead discipline and process of sales capture planning to identify high potential sales opportunities, assess the environment, understand customer needs, analyse the competitive environment, devise and implement a clear win strategy to capture the specific sales opportunity. Ensure process of capture planning is consistently applied, is action-oriented and is detailed in a way that can be shared with cross-functional heads of Envitia's business.
- Account Management. The development and growth of customer accounts such that the customer relationship is enhanced and Envitia’s share of technology spend is increased over time.
- Client Needs Assessment. Continuously assess client needs and feedback, adapting product offerings to better suit market demands.
Skills Required
- Business Development. Experience of identifying, shaping and wining new business in the UK public sector markets.
- Domain Knowledge. Knowledge of public sector departments, understanding of challenges they face and their strategies.
- Customer Relationship Skills. Ability to work with a range of stakeholders, including C-Suite.
- Professional Services Sales. Experience of selling services (not products) within public sector markets.
- Consultative Sales Method. Experience of consultative selling approach, taking time to understand our digital transformation challenges and opportunities and sharing innovative solutions.
- Proposals. Experience of contributing to commercial bids to define winning strategy for success
Security Clearance Requirements
The successful candidate must hold or be required to go through an SC security clearance.
Location
The role will be required to be in our Horsham offices 2 days a month, with travel to different client sites when required.
