Job Summary:

We are seeking a Corporate Lawyer with expertise in Philippine labor law and US legal procedures (paralegal experience). The successful candidate will advise businesses on corporate governance, employment policies, labor law compliance, and workplace dispute resolution while navigating legal complexities in both US and Philippine legal frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal counsel on corporate governance, employment law, and labor relations in the Philippines.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate corporate contracts, employment agreements, workplace policies, and compliance reports.
  • Ensure compliance in Philippine labor laws, including employee rights, termination procedures, and dispute resolution.
  • Assist with corporate structuring, mergers & acquisitions, and due diligence.
  • Represent businesses in labor disputes, mediations, and regulatory proceedings in the Philippines.
  • Utilize US paralegal expertise to enhance legal documentation, case management, and compliance tracking.
  • Prepare and file legal documents with government agencies in the Philippines.
  • Assist US attorneys with case preparation, legal research, document drafting, and evidence retention.
  • Conduct case law research and summarize findings.
  • Manage case files, client correspondence, and deadlines.
  • Support attorneys in trial preparation, hearings, and depositions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with legal standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree.
  • Licensed to practice law in the Philippines (BAR admission required)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in corporate law and labor/employment law.
  • Previous experience as a US paralegal or in a US law firm/legal department.
  • Strong understanding of corporate law, employment contracts, and labor relations in Philippine jurisdictions.
  • Knowledge of DOLE (Department of Labor and Employment) regulations, NLRC procedures, and US labor laws (EEOC, FLSA, etc.).
  • Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and work independently.
  • Proficiency in [legal software, case management tools, Microsoft Office, etc.].
