Job description

Why join us?

We’re not for everyone, we’re for the home obsessed.

While the rest are enticing to the masses, we understand that our customers don’t want to follow the crowd. That’s why we create statement furniture, individually handcrafted in small batches. It‘s that thing people always notice when they come over (and can‘t help but compliment).

Our distinctive look has led to collaborations with leading retailers like John Lewis, Harvey Jones, and many more. This diversified growth strategy is powering our brand to a significant market share—and we’re just getting started…

What we’re looking for

You’ll be working across multiple work streams covering product launches, content production, email marketing and social content for our online platforms. You’ll also help deliver campaigns and initiatives across a range of media including print, digital and video for both Swoon & our partnerships. You’ll be a champion of our brand guidelines and make sure all our content follows our look & feel, including internal presentations & pitches.

You’ll work with a small in-house digital content team, developing new skills and learning more about growing a brand than you thought was possible. You’ll report to the Creative Brand Manager and work closely with a highly engaged senior management team.

Requirements

We're open to applications from recent graduates or those with a few years of experience. We work remotely most of the time but this role requires travel to London around 5-7 days per month for workshops/shoots (train expenses covered). So ideally, no more than 1-2 hours travel from central London.

Requirements

  • You have a genuine interest in all things interiors and a keen eye for what’s desirable
  • You’re ambitious, and you want to create something remarkable
  • You’re obsessed with designing simple, powerful and engaging content
  • You’re socially native with your eye on next social media trends
  • You’re brimming with ideas about how to empower customers with better storytelling
  • You’re versatile, flexible and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty
  • You don’t wait; you take responsibility and drive change
  • You’re focused on results (we’re not fans of micro-management)

Technical Requirements

  • You have in-depth working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop in particular.
  • You have a portfolio showcasing your ability to conceptualise and create engaging design
  • You are confident writing short-form marketing copy
  • Photographic retouching and basic animation and video editing skills would be advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Designing, building and scheduling weekly emails to our Insiders
  • Designing and scheduling our weekly social media content, including stories, short-form videos & still images.
  • Designing inspirational blog content in line with our UX and SEO strategies.
  • Write short-form copy for social media and email that follows our tone of voice.
  • Designing digital ad content for our paid channels.
  • Working on campaign concepts as part of a creative team.
  • Assisting in content production, including photoshoots.
  • Championing the Swoon brand look and feel across the business, while maintaining and developing brand guidelines and brand templates.
  • Implementing the Swoon aesthetic and visual language through all brand communication.
  • Adhoc tasks supporting the wider business with content-related tasks

Benefits

Upbeat, ambitious and collaborative – that’s us. We’re a lean team of 25, so if you relish responsibility and like to impact an outcome, we’re the place for you. We’ve made flexible working a permanent thing. Right now, the team works from home but we’re open to what people might need in the future. We hold weekly day workshops in London and if the team wants to get together in a co-working space, that’s fine too.

We have a wide range of perks and benefits including:

  • Competitive salary
  • Share options programme
  • Wellbeing allowance
  • Pension scheme
  • Private medical cover
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Your birthday as an additional day off
  • A day off for volunteer/community work
  • Free furniture on each anniversary of employment
  • Increasing holiday allowance with tenure
  • Discount for you, your friends and family
