Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule:
9 AM - 5 PM Australian EST + or - 4 hours to be determined


Project Manager (PRINCE2 and/or PMBOK Certified)

Role Overview: The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and leading projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The individual will apply structured project management methodologies, including PRINCE2 and PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge), to ensure effective project delivery, risk management, and quality control. The Project Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders, coordinate project teams, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning & Coordination:
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables in accordance with PRINCE2 and PMBOK methodologies.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure resources are allocated appropriately and that timelines are met.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and expectations.
    • Facilitate regular project meetings, keeping stakeholders informed of progress, risks, and changes.
    • Manage stakeholder relationships and address concerns or issues promptly.
  • Risk and Issue Management:
    • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues in accordance with PRINCE2 and PMBOK risk management processes.
    • Develop risk mitigation plans and ensure that potential risks are proactively managed.
    • Escalate issues to the appropriate stakeholders when necessary and lead resolution efforts.
  • Quality Management:
    • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.
    • Implement processes for quality assurance and control, ensuring deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
  • Budget and Resource Management:
    • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints.
    • Oversee resource allocation, ensuring optimal utilization of team members, equipment, and technology.
  • Progress Monitoring & Reporting:
    • Monitor project progress against agreed timelines, milestones, and budgets.
    • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, risks, and challenges.
    • Ensure that project documentation is maintained, accurate, and up to date.
  • Methodology Application & Improvement:
    • Utilize PRINCE2 and PMBOK methodologies to manage projects efficiently.
    • Continuously improve project management processes, recommending best practices to enhance the project management approach across the organization.
  • Project Closure:
    • Ensure successful project closure by conducting post-project reviews, capturing lessons learned, and ensuring all deliverables are met.
    • Prepare and deliver final project documentation and ensure handover to the operations team if applicable.


    Requirements

    Key Requirements:

    • Certifications: PRINCE2 (Foundation and Practitioner), PMBOK certification or equivalent (e.g., PMP or CAPM).
    • Experience: Proven track record in managing projects, ideally across various industries and sectors.
    • More than 3 or 5 years experience
    • Skills:
      • Strong leadership and team management skills.
      • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
      • Proficiency in project management software tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, etc.).
      • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field.
    • Advanced certification or training in agile methodologies is a plus (e.g., Scrum Master, Agile PM).
