As an Area Sales Manager MCS Europe (f/m/x) the work will be mainly remote. Home base should be centrally within  Europe region, close to an international airport.

Your Role
  • Decide and implement jointly with respective Sales and Service Companies (SSCs) and Head of Sales EMEA the Go-to-Market-Approach for ZEISS  Mircosurgery (MCS) product portfolio

  • Monitor development and results of business performance in monthly calls with respective SSCs

  • Support Head of Sales in yearly target setting for respective SSCs and local Profit Center Managers

  • Visit respective european SSCs on a regular base

  • Build close network with MCS Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Stakeholders

  • Foster best practice sharing regarding sales of ZEISS  MCS portfolio between SSCs

  • Perform effective segmentation and targeting in respective  region in close alignment with the central business functions to ensure maximum support of portfolio sales

  • Participation and support of global congresses with major focus on Europe

Your Profile
  • Commercial education or study - aptitude (ability & attitude) beats graduation degree

  • Experience of Sales in Medical Device Companies is a must; experience in instrument/disposable sales in OR environments is a plus

  • Preferred are experience in a comparable sales managing position as well as in managing Countries/Dealers/Partners

  • Working experience in complex matrix organization is highly welcome

  • Quick understanding of complex internal and external buying centers/stakeholders

  • Understanding of Sales Circles for investment and disposable goods in hospitals

  • Understanding of “how to win and maintain” instruments/disposable product

  • Ability to communicate with different Stakeholders in a hospital environment including surgeons, nurses, purchasing managers, biomedical engineers, C-Level

  • Empathic, result driven, self sufficient, ambitioned, team player

  • Excellent communication skills; English C1 level or comparable (multilingual including German is a plus)

  • International travelling of up to 50% within Europe required
