Job description

MCA, your trusted advisor for wireless communications, data, and security, is seeking an experienced Business Development Representative to support our growing Central team.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: 

 

  • Prospect for potential new clients to increase business. 
  • Cold calling as appropriate within your market and geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.  
  • Identifying potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization. 
  • Researching and building relationships with new clients. 
  • Presenting new products and services to enhance existing relationships.  
  • Working with sales representatives to develop account strategies and objectives.  
  • Participating in the positioning of solutions/services.  
  • Working with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs. 
  • Collaborating with colleagues from other departments. 
  • Due to the remote nature of this role, it is a requirement to document your work. (A process is provided)

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM: 

 

  • 2+ years of business development experience in business-to-business technology solutions.  
  • Excellent customer service, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to build rapport with clients and prospects.  Comfortable speaking with others on the phone and in person. 
  • Highly motivated self-starter, results-driven individual who is not afraid of accountability.  
  • Possess the ability to explain product features and benefits.  (Training provided)
  • Exceptional time management and ability to prioritize.   
  • Previous experience with CRM preferred.   
  • Possess the intermediate ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of products. 
  • Experience with government entities and PD/FD/EMS preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear; lift (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use; occasionally move equipment weighing up to 15 pounds, and frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed.
