SDS is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS). The Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) Information & Technology (I&T) provides support and assistance for: DISA Automated Time Attendance and Production System (DATAAPS), Headquarters Accounting Reporting System (HQARS), and Wounded in Action (WIA).
Under general direction, the Senior Software Engineer will perform high-level systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of the application software that requires a thorough knowledge of administrative and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for research, design, and development of computer software.
Directs and participates in all phases of system development with emphasis on analysis, evaluation, integration, testing and acceptance phases.
Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings as required by the task order.
Responsible for ensuring the quality of services delivered for particular DATAAPS task(s).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of related experience OR Associates Degree and 8 years of related experience
Proficiency in COBOL Development is required.
Experience and/or knowledge with the following Computer Languages and Tools:
Capability Maturity Model (CMMI).
