Position Overview

Chyron is seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) for its Chyron LIVE platform, an innovative cloud-native Live Production Platform offered as a SaaS solution to sports producers and streamers worldwide. The position will initially be focussed onto Tier-2 sports production at the collegiate, pro, and semi-pro levels, working with schools, universities, leagues, federations, and media production entities in this space.

The ideal candidate is a driven sales professional with a hunter mentality, capable of securing new logos while refining our commercial approach and playbook. This role offers significant growth potential in two key phases:

  • In the initial phase, the SDR will focus on direct prospecting to build a robust pipeline of season contracts. Collaboration with our Marketing and Enterprise Sales teams will be essential to generate and qualify leads all the way to opportunity closing.
  • Upon achieving initial targets, including Product Market Fit, the SDR role will evolve into a player-manager position. This will involve hiring and coaching junior SDR(s) to accelerate market share capture across our key verticals



Responsibilities

Prospecting for new clients via both phone calls, emails and site visits with an eye toward exceeding expectations

    • Scheduling meeting or demos of the Chyron LIVE platform for qualified prospects
    • Communicating with customers to understand their needs and requirements and identify sales opportunities
    • Answering customers’ questions, resolving their concerns and providing additional information via calls and emails
    • Contract negotiation and deal closing
    • Partner with Marketing on Lead Generation campaign definition and execution
    • Partner with our Enterprise sales team to help close large Enterprise accounts
    • Build a Prospection Plan and review regularly with the Head of Sales
    • Regular travel to prospect and customer sites, industry events and tradeshows


Requirements

    • BA/BS degree in a Business-related field
    • At least 4 years of sales experience, with a history of meeting or exceeding) targets, in new business acquisition
    • Experience in Collegiate Sports interacting with Athletics Departments, Sport Producers & Streamers. This could be as a prior work experience - or even as an insider (e.g. former student athlete)
    • Experience selling SaaS subscriptions would be beneficial
    • Methodical and well-organized in planning and execution
    • Strong communication skills over both phone and email 
    • Ability to partner with various stakeholders in a matrixed environment 
    • Prior knowledge of Hubspot and Salesforce would be an asset Positive energy and team mentality
