The role

 

As a MacOS QA Engineer, you’ll be involved in the full project life cycle of our software products as part of a dedicated development team. You will work alongside the development team using Agile Scrum to ensure the quality of all Heimdal products.

 

The role is remote for applicants based in Romania. You will report to our MacOS Team Lead located in Sibiu.

 

We are looking into all cities in Romania - if you are located in Bucharest or Brasov (the cities we have offices in), you can work from home and optionally come to the office. If you are based in any other city in Romania, the work is remote - we have the online resources to guide you through the pre-boarding & on-boarding processes and beyond.

 

What you'll do:

·       Perform daily testing tasks as part of the monthly development sprint;

·       Investigate, report and track bugs detected in our software products, working closely within the Dev team to ensure these bugs are properly reported and the status is up-to-date;

·       Develop and execute Test Cases;

·       Troubleshoot and investigate issues reported by customers and the support team;

·       Take part in the daily, weekly and monthly scrum ceremonies.

 

What we appreciate in terms of experience:

·       Minimum 2-3 years of Software QA experience;

·       Proficient in macOS ecosystem testing—ensuring our macOS agent meets high-quality standards.

·       Experience testing APIs and web-based applications.

·       Good knowledge of Software Testing Methodologies;

·       Quality focused mindset;

·       Great attention to details;

·       Good time management skills;

·       Good troubleshooting skill;

·       Ability to perform and develop Test Plans, Test Design and Test Execution for System Testing, Acceptance Criteria, Functional Testing, Run Test Scripts, Integration Testing, Regression Tests;

 

Nice to have:

·       Agile/Scrum Methodologies;

·       Knowledge of Postman/ Fiddler Everywhere /RapidAPI

·       Virtualization in Parallels (building testing environments);

·       Basic knowledge of scripting skills: CMD, PowerShell, Bash;

·       Good knowledge of Windows OS - Windows 10 and later versions;
