AIP is seeking a Senior Accountant to hold a fully remote role within Illinois. Only candidates who are local to the Chicago Metro area will be considered for this role

Work Scope:

  • Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Senior Accountant  will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timely closing of the general ledger and assist in the financial reporting efforts of the accounting team.  

  • In addition, the Senior Accountant will ensure financial accounts are reconciled and issues resolved timely enabling accurate financial reporting.  This position is critical to the overall control environment of the Company.

Essential Functions

  • Actively participate in the month end close including preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations, account roll forwards, and other supporting schedules as necessary

  • Ability to analyze issues and present and recommend potential solutions

  • Develop Ad Hoc analysis and reporting sets in support of the monthly closing process

  • Assist in the formulation and preparation of monthly and annual reporting requirements

  • Perform monthly consolidations and ensure appropriate accounting for transfer pricing and intercompany transactions

  • Assist in the coordination on internal and external audits

  • Assist in ensuring the internal control environment documentation

  • Assist in ongoing projects

Required Experience, Skills & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • 3 to 5 years previous accounting/audit experience in public or private accounting

  • Strong reporting and data querying capabilities

  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Strong verbal communication skills.

  • Detail oriented approach to work and able to appropriately maintain confidential information and have good problem-solving skills. 

Preferred Experience, Skills & Education

  • Big 4 public accounting experience (audit or tax)

  • CPA preferred or pursuing CPA

  • Financial Audit Experience

  • NetSuite (at least 1 year)

  • Salesforce (at least 1 year)

  • Expert in Excel

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $59,800.00 - 105,910.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

Work Environment: Except for our Customer Care roles which necessitates onsite work, most other roles are remote. AIP is a remote-first company; however, our roles are open to in-office or flex work if you live in a city with a physical office location

Physical Demands: We primarily collaborate with our colleagues through virtual meetings and office collaboration tools. Employees will have to operate a laptop computer (PC or Mac available), computer software platforms, and other office productivity machinery, as necessary. Employees must be able to remain stationary for extended periods and must be able to observe and interpret written and/or verbal communication.
