POSITION OVERVIEW

 

The Sr. Product Designer at Harbor Health will play a crucial role in this fast paced, startup environment. shaping our experiences for stakeholders (including consumers, providers, brokers, and employers) through innovative design solutions. This position will lead the design for products across our digital platforms, ensuring consistency and excellence in how we communicate with our members and partners. The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on design execution to support Harbor Health's mission of transforming healthcare in Austin.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leading end-to-end design activities for 0-to-1 products as well as iterative development on existing one, including: initial research, workflow diagraming, low fidelity wireframes, clickable prototypes, high fidelity mocks, developer-ready files.
  • Reviewing both quantitative and qualitative data as available and appropriate to build a design team perspective. Advocating for that perspective in regular planning meetings.
  • Helping spearhead an overhaul of our design system to help make Harbor THE destination for health. Ensuring all designs conform to these brand standards and our internal design system. 
  • Documenting design decisions and process
  • Collaborating with fellow design team members in design reviews and on shared projects
  • Presenting work to expansive stakeholder groups, from end users to the CEO
 

REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have: 

  • An impeccable design portfolio, showcasing end-to-end design projects with modern, beautiful, and elegant design solutions.
  • Eagerness to work in a fast paced, startup environment
  • Experience incorporating generative AI interfaces.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with product managers, engineers and marketing to launch and improve workflows.
  • Familiarity, excitement and comfort working within the regulatory constraints of the HealthTech industry.
  • Interest in building both internal tools for a clinical and administrative workforce as well as a consumer facing population
  • Experience in a tech-enabled-services environment 
  • Interest and understanding and pushing forward Harbor Health’s “payvider” business model, and the enormous impacts it will have on the American health care system
  • 5+ years experience in a product design capacity, especially 0-to-1 and startup environments, producing assets in both UX and UI design.
  • Proficiency with Figma, Notion, Slack, Zoom, and the Google Work Space
  • Experience with mobile first, web, and native app design
  • Experience and eagerness to design both consumer facing, and expert admin interfaces
