Description

About Our Team

Our employees thrive in a culture that's fast-paced and ego-free, where innovation and collaboration are encouraged at every turn. We are an organization that provides federal agencies instant access to experienced and talented professionals who understand their unique challenges and know the most efficient ways to address them. We are continually investing in resources and talent, so we stay prepared with specialized teams in place who are experts in creating tailored technologies. Our solutions empower Federal organizations to grow, modernize, and succeed in a rapidly evolving landscape.

About Our Role

We are looking for a motivated Associate Product Manager (APM) to support product delivery and development activities. In this role, you will work closely with Product Managers (PMs) to facilitate team operations, coordinate delivery, and contribute to product planning and execution. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to grow their product management skills while playing a key role in driving successful product outcomes. By joining our organization, you'll be part of the team to bridge technology with Veteran needs and transform VA service delivery!

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Managers (PMs) to support sprint teams by coordinating delivery schedules, resolving impediments, and facilitating team collaboration (similar to Scrum Master responsibilities, though not strictly Scrum).
  • Provide day-to-day support for two sprint teams, ensuring smooth execution of sprint goals and alignment with product priorities.
  • Assist Product Managers (PMs) in product discovery, backlog grooming, and feature prioritization.
  • Help maintain clear communication between sprint teams, PMs, DMs, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on deliverables and timelines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and addressing process inefficiencies.
  • Engage in opportunities to develop core product management skills, including strategic planning, stakeholder management, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the product (or part of the product) that the sprint teams own, including high level functions of the technology, its dependencies, and impacts.
  • Coordinate sprint demos and write reports that demonstrate the value that the sprint teams are delivering.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners (POs) to define the sprint teams’ overarching mission, refining it into initiatives (high-level goals and plans), bets (specific changes to the product), and metrics (evidence that an outcome delivered the expected value).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in product management, project coordination, or similar roles within IT or software environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile principles and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Exposure to Salesforce, API Management, data & governance, or AWS.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Analytical thinking with a curiosity for data-driven insights and customer-centric solutions.
  • Proficiency in Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust or other required clearance

Preferred Skills

  • Agile certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master)
  • Previous experience working in cross-functional product or technology teams.
