At our site in Italy , we sell state-of-the-art process measurement technology for customers in the biopharmaceutical, chemical and brewery industry, as well as pipetting robots to automate liquid handling processes for the pharmaceutical and food industry through to cell and DNA research.

How you can make a difference:

The purpose of this role is to increase the sales of Hamilton´s Liquid Handling Platforms through application support of our sales force, skillful project management and promotion of the Hamilton products.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for implementing applications from different Life Science Fields on Hamilton´s Liquid Handling Platforms. Besides of programming and testing the required applications on customer site the responsibility for developing customized automation concepts and trainings courses is given.

The territory of responsibility will be Northern Italy (with possible extensions throughout Italy and Iberia) with a permanent base from the candidate’s home based within the territory.

That’s what you bring along:

We are looking for an application professional with strong communication skills and a background in the Life Science market. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experiences in a similar field and experiences in programming complex scientific instruments, preferably Liquid Handling robots.

The successful candidate should have a proven track record and a Degree level qualification in Life Sciences like Biotechnology, Biology or Chemistry and should be fluent in English. Proficiency with common software applications such as MS Office etc. is expected. Further duties include the following:

Have good knowledge of Application Support
First point of contact: understand customer application and implement integration, process customer complaints
Initiate long-term improvements
Take care of daily instrument preparation including troubleshooting and recovery of basic instrumentation errors
Transfer know-how
Ensure technical contact for customers
Serve as the primary point of contact (1st Level Support) for customers and sales organizations regarding application-specific and basic technical inquiries about our products
Understand customer requirements and realize the integration according to the given project/requirements, thereby ensuring our quality standards and customer satisfaction
