Your mission
In this exciting role as a (Senior) DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) you will contribute significantly to VERSO's sustainable success and growth.

You are part of our Development team and you will be responsible for managing and improving our OTC clusters and deployments. By also developing security and Business Continuity Management strategies, you will contribute to providing the best possible products to our customers and thus have a direct impact.

In all of this, you will grow with VERSO and continuously develop both our development team and yourself.


Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • You will manage and improve strategies for deployed environments including improved monitoring.
  • You are responsible for deployment, backup and maintenance of our clusters including our future DevOps strategies and technologies.
  • You will evaluate system architecture, pipelines and technology stacks.
  • You will work on the improvement of deployments, of deployment workflows (CI/CD) and of modularity and scalability.
  • You will implement and test network and security solutions.
  • You will work out a security and pentest strategy.
  • You will set up disaster plan and for Business Continuity Management.
  • You will closely collaborate with various developers of our ESG-, Supply Chain and Climate platforms.

You'll fit in particularly well with our Development Team if, in addition to a passion for sustainability, you also bring a great deal of openness and motivation to continuously improve our products.

What you need to suceed:

  • You already have at least 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, ideally also within the Open Telekom Cloud (OTC).
  • You have solid experience with Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes incl. Helm Charts.
  • You have previous experience with microservices.
  • Ideally, you are familiar with systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, ArgoCD, Grafana and Grafana Loki.
  • You ideally have already worked in a start-up/scale-up context, you are familiar with the SaaS industry and you feel comfortable in a dynamic environment.
  • You are comfortable working with various different teams.
  • You are able to switch between working independently and self-responsibly on projects and close collaboration with your team.
  • You have a permanent residency in Germany.
  • You are fluent in English, both spoken and written.
