About this role
We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to join an innovative project with a public sector client. You’ll play a key role in designing, deploying, and operating highly available, resilient web services in the public cloud (AWS), leveraging shared infrastructure and driving best practices in microservices, CI/CD, and DevOps culture. This is a remote role requiring SC clearance.

Your Responsibilities

Design, improve, and implement CI/CD workflows using GitLab.
Deploy services safely to AWS (EC2, ECS, EKS) as containers or instances.
Foster a DevOps culture, encouraging collaboration and mentorship within the team.
Assess services, identify improvements, and ensure high standards in deployment, testing, and operation.
Apply expertise in logging, monitoring, and automated testing to enhance service reliability.

About You

Strong experience with AWS (ECS, EC2, EKS), GitLab CI, and Kubernetes.
Proficiency in Bash, Python, and Linux (RHEL).
Expertise in microservices, HTTP/REST, and containerised services.
Familiarity with monitoring tools (Cloudwatch, Prometheus) and automated testing (e.g., Selenium).
SC clearance (or eligibility) and a track record of enforcing DevOps best practices.
Bonus: Development experience and a focus on continuous improvement.
