UI/UX Designer

Work Schedule: Mid-Shift 1:00PM - 10:00PM, Fully-Remote (WFH)

About the Role:

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing visually engaging and user-friendly websites, ensuring an optimal user experience across various platforms. You will collaborate closely with the development and marketing teams to create visually compelling websites and digital content that align with our brand’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Web Design and Development

• Create visually appealing and responsive web designs that deliver a seamless user experience across different devices (desktop, mobile, tablet).
• Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
• Design and implement website layouts, page structures, and navigation that align with user goals and business objectives.
• Maintain consistent design standards throughout websites, ensuring brand consistency, typography, and color schemes.
• Optimize website elements for improved load times, accessibility, and performance across various web browsers.

User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Design

• Apply UX best practices to ensure websites are easy to navigate, intuitive, and accessible to all users.
• Focus on creating engaging UI designs that enhance usability and user satisfaction.
• Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to refine design elements and improve overall user experience.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure that design elements are implemented correctly and function smoothly.
• Stay up-to-date with current design trends, tools, and best practices to ensure designs remain modern and competitive.

Collaboration with Teams

• Work closely with web developers to ensure design compatibility with various web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Collaborate with marketing teams to understand branding, target audiences, and content goals to inform design decisions.
• Communicate design concepts and present ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Coordinate with content creators to ensure that the visual design aligns with content strategies and enhances the message.

Content Management

• Assist in the creation of digital content, including images, banners, videos, and animations, for use on websites and other digital platforms.
• Organize and update web content and ensure that it is optimized for search engines (SEO).
• Implement content updates and make adjustments to website layouts as needed based on feedback or business needs.

Quality Assurance and Testing

• Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent functionality and appearance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design issues related to site layout, formatting, or performance.
• Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards and are compliant with web regulations and guidelines (e.g., WCAG, ADA).

Web Analytics and Reporting

• Monitor website performance metrics and use tools like Google Analytics to track user behavior and engagement.
• Analyze data to identify areas of improvement and optimize design for better user engagement and conversion rates.
• Provide recommendations to enhance website design based on analytics insights.

Requirements

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Interactive Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience:
• 3-5+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer or in a similar role with a strong portfolio of web design projects.
• Proven experience designing responsive websites that are visually appealing and function across devices and browsers.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in web design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) or other design tools (Figma, Sketch, etc.).
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers.
• Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal is a plus.
• Familiarity with web development frameworks and libraries (Bootstrap, React, etc.) is a plus.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards and SEO best practices.
• Experience in creating web animations and using tools like Adobe Animate or After Effects is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present design concepts clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful and functional designs.
