Position Title: Manufacturing Operations & Macola Solutions Consultant
Reports To: Director of Professional Services & IT
Company: WiSys (part of Valsoft Corporation)

Applicants are required to have Macola ERP experience.

Job Summary

As a Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining strong relationships with our valued customers, ensuring their satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for additional services. You will be responsible for implementations, post-implementation follow-up, customer care, actively seeking avenues for growth within existing accounts, and providing billable services as needed. Additionally, you will leverage project management skills to effectively oversee timelines, coordinate resources, and ensure successful project execution. This role offers the opportunity to showcase your abilities, take on more responsibilities, and significantly impact our business success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with your assigned accounts.
  • Work closely with Sales Consultants to ensure effective transition of projects from the sales cycle to the delivery of all software and services.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for implementation, training, and go-live support.
  • Conduct regular check-ins to assess customer satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
  • Communicate project goals, timelines, and expectations clearly to both internal teams and customers.

2. Customer Satisfaction and Retention:

  • Proactively monitor customer feedback and satisfaction levels.
  • Assist with developing strategies to enhance customer experience and loyalty.
  • Assist with developing initiatives to ensure long-term customer retention and minimize churn.
  • Implement project management best practices to maintain high levels of customer engagement and satisfaction.

3. Identifying Growth Opportunities:

  • Analyze customer needs and pain points to identify opportunities for additional services.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to pitch and upsell relevant products or services.
  • Actively seek out opportunities to expand revenue within existing accounts.
  • Provide project-based insights to enhance service offerings and customer engagement.

4. Service Delivery, Execution, and Project Management:

  • Perform business assessment walkthroughs virtually or on-site at customer facilities.
  • Recommend process improvements and automation utilizing the strengths of our experience and software offerings.
  • Write up assessment findings in the form of a blueprint for success and specifications for any tailored applications required for success.
  • Provide training on out-of-the-box software applications to end users.
  • Assist in the execution of projects or tasks where appropriate, demonstrating hands-on expertise and commitment to customer success.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful completion.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to allocate resources and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Monitor project risks, dependencies, and constraints, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Lead status meetings, document key milestones, and adjust project plans as necessary to meet business and customer objectives.

5. Reporting, Analysis, and Project Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, project deliverables, feedback, and service requests.
  • Manage time tracking and billing requirements for assigned projects in a timely manner.
  • Generate reports and analyze data to track account performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management based on customer feedback and market trends.
  • Maintain and document project scope, timelines, and outcomes to ensure transparency and accountability.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a company running Macola as their ERP.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Macola ERP and Microsoft Office 365 is required. Experience working with other ERP systems is a plus. Knowledge of SQL is also a plus.
  • Knowledge:
    • Manufacturing Processes & Workflows – Understanding of production cycles, assembly lines, material flow, and quality control.
    • Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma – Familiarity with waste reduction, process improvement, and efficiency optimization.
    • Supply Chain & Logistics – Knowledge of inventory management, procurement, demand planning, and logistics operations.
    • Production Planning & Scheduling – Understanding of production forecasting, scheduling techniques (e.g., MRP, JIT, Kanban), and capacity planning.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Travel: Must be open to traveling to customer sites across the U.S. and Canada for multi-day engagements. Travel may account for up to 60% of the role.
