Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Highlights:

Contract: Independent Contractor
Client Timezone: Texas, USA

S chedule:
  • 40 hours per week; 7am to 4pm Fredericksburg, Texas, USA time with 1 hour unpaid break

Position Summary
Provides ongoing management, security, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Payroll & Accounting software. This role involves providing technical support, training, report development, and system integrations to enhance payroll, accounting, benefits, and HR automation processes. The analyst will work closely with internal teams and third-party vendors to develop and maintain system functionality, ensuring data accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
· Manage, configure, and maintain Payroll & Accounting software and related applications.
· Provide technical support, troubleshoot system issues, and develop enhancements for system efficiency.
· Work with internal teams and external vendors to integrate third-party applications with Payroll and HR systems.
· Develop, test, and implement system updates, upgrades, and patches.
· Monitor system performance, ensuring timely and accurate Payroll and HR data processing.
· Develop security protocols and ensure data integrity across all systems.

Software Development & Integration:
· Design and develop custom programs and interfaces to support payroll, HR, and benefits administration.
· Write, test, and maintain scripts, reports, and configurations for the HCM and integrated applications.
· Automate data imports and exports for various internal and external reporting needs.
· Work with third-party vendors to create, modify, and test integrations for timekeeping, benefits administration, and financial systems.

Reporting & Data Analysis:
· Analyze and manage payroll, HRIS, and contact management system data for reporting and analytics.
· Develop and standardize reporting procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
· Create ad-hoc and scheduled reports for finance, payroll, benefits, and compliance purposes.
· Generate and maintain reports for ACA, Workers' Compensation, EEO compliance, and tax reporting.

Client & End-User Support:
· Provide training and support to internal teams, clients, and external partners on system functionality and Reporting.
· Educate users on system capabilities, reporting tools, and data extraction methods.
· Document system procedures and develop instructional manuals for end-users.
· Ensure proper user access and data security compliance when distributing reports and system access.

Process Improvement & Compliance:
· Identify opportunities for system improvements and process automation. 
· Work with finance and compliance teams to ensure adherence to IRS, state, and federal payroll regulations. 
· Support year-end payroll procedures, including reporting and compliance audits. 
· Collaborate with benefits and payroll teams to enhance accuracy and efficiency in employee data management.


Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 
· 5+ years of experience in systems analysis, payroll/HRIS software management, and reporting. 
· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. 
· Excellent communication and training abilities. 
· Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams, end-users, and vendors.
· Experience in PEO, payroll processing, or HR systems preferred.
