Job description

 

Job Title: Director, Sales 

KMM Telecommunications (KMM) is a leading national provider of supply chain solutions and network services to the U.S. communications market. KMM couples its core logistics services with highly skilled field expertise to deliver integrated solutions spanning full network lifecycles.

KMM is hiring an experienced sales and business development leader with experience building relationships and selling services within the telecommunications industry. The sales candidate must be motivated and driven with a history of generating and closing deals in either the telecommunications industry, technology services, or both. This is a remote position that will report to the Vice President (Sales), and work closely with our leadership team.

This is a remote position, candidates must be willing and able to travel as required.

Job Overview: 

The successful candidate must have strong executive level connections with VZW, TMO, AT&T, and/or Dish to expand our existing business and cultivate new opportunities in our network services division and the general technology sector. The ability to work independently in a rapidly growing environment is critical.   


Responsibilities:

  • Generate, develop, and manage relationships with key customer executives and decision makers to enable KMM to win future work opportunities, and promote our products and services
  • Work collaboratively with our delivery teams to ensure customer satisfaction with existing work performance
  • Qualify new opportunities, respond to RFPs/RFIs, and present KMM solutions to potential customers
  • Develop business cases/proformas for new opportunities and establish pricing models to fit market needs and optimize business case profitability
  • Develop marketing strategies and work with cross-functional teams to create marketing materials
  • Identify new market opportunities and provide supporting business analysis for KMM to expand service offerings or industries 
  • Identify partnering opportunities with other service providers with complementary products and services, while effectively managing these relationships
  • Enhance KMM’s portfolio by expanding our customer base 
  • Recognize collaborative opportunities with fellow service providers offering complementary products and services, and oversee the management of these partnerships


Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience with mobile technologies from AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile
  • 5+ years of experience with telecommunication technologies including Local, Long Distance, Data, Internet, data services, and data centers
  • 5+ years sales experience in Wireless Services; Logistics sales experience also considered 
  • 2+ years of Client Relations/Customer Service experience
  • Ability to manage fluctuating workload and prioritize various task as needed
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and adept at interacting with employees at all levels of the organization 
  • Demonstrated sales achievements in the telecommunications industry, including connections with key decision-makers in leading service providers
  • Proven track record of assigned sales target objectives with consistent success
  • Strong administration and organization skills, including the ability to create and deliver sales presentations to senior executives
  • Effective written communication, capable of developing compelling proposals and responding adeptly to RFPs
  • Demonstrated experience in complex solution/application selling in the high technology sector
  • Established track record within a collaborative sales environment
  • Proven expertise in consultative selling with extended sales cycles, and proficiency in MEDDIC and Challenger Sales Methodologies
  • Background in Services Delivery and/or live wireless network operations desired
  • Self-starter, driven and motivated to achieve results
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 in a PC environment (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (or related field), or equivalent industry work experience
  • MBA is a plus
