The Role
Join the Mobile Infrastructure team and help shape the platform that powers apps used by millions of customers as part of their vehicle ownership experience. In this role, you’ll empower hundreds of mobile engineers to build secure, reliable, and high-quality apps by improving the tools, pipelines, and infrastructure they rely on every day. Your work will have a measurable impact on the mobile app ecosystem, driving innovation and ensuring a seamless user experience. What You’ll Do
Leads and generates technical solutions including specifying of requirements, functional decomposition, analysis, development and testing for current, new and major programs.
Lead development of software system team design content and software anomaly corrections.
Performs complex design analysis.
Specifies and balances system requirements.
Provide, communicate, and support common best practices among software community.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Performs as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for at least one platform or application component.
Participate in interviews.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of relevant experience in mobile infrastructure engineering
Extensive experience designing and managing complex workflows in GitHub Actions for mobile build and release processes.
In-depth understanding of mobile build systems, including Gradle for Android and Xcode for iOS.
Strong hands-on experience building, maintaining, and optimizing mobile CI/CD pipelines for iOS and Android apps.
Ability to write and debug advanced scripts for build, deployment, and automation tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of relevant experience in mobile infrastructure engineering
Familiarity with Python or Ruby for build and automation tasks.
Proven experience applying Site Reliability Engineering principles, including defining and monitoring SLIs/SLOs, implementing observability tools for mobile apps, automating recovery mechanisms, and contributing to robust incident response and post-mortem processes
Hands on experience implementing monitoring and observability frameworks on mobile.
Experience with tools like Nexus, Artifactory, or custom binary repositories for mobile apps.
Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and services like Firebase App Distribution.
Basic experience with Docker for CI/CD environments.
Proven ability to collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams on release cycles.
Proven track record of managing staged rollouts, hotfix deployment processes, and app store submissions for both Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Experience diagnosing and fixing build failures and dependency issues.
