As our Standardization Manager, you will be an important leader working cross-functionally to standardize our operations for customers nationally. This effort stands to significantly accelerate healthcare’s accessibility, affordability, and efficiency. Every day you will design, document, and deploy continuously improving operational standards that result in revenue generation, cost savings, client value, and growth. To accomplish this, you will coordinate decisions across technology teams, operations, customers, and shared service centers – all with an eye toward comprehensive performance improvement at scale.
Here’s what you will experience working as a Standardization Manager:
Leverage your industry and systems expertise to continuously improve our playbook for RCM operational excellence – bringing the best of R1 and customers’ native tools to life to generate superior financial outcomes
Assist operational counterparts and customers in optimizing the use of R1’s playbook across complex front, middle, and/or back end revenue cycle operations
Partner with Executive-level operations and customer counterparts to assess operational current state vs. our documented standard operating model
Lead the work of analysts on your team, as well as through example and influence across other functional teams, toward common goals and objectives
Oversee and coordinate revenue enhancement initiatives and business operations across all aspects of the revenue cycle for client hospitals.
Required Skills:
4+ years of experience in healthcare
Experience leading complex revenue cycle management operations, especially in a centralized billing office setting. Experience with multiple front, middle, and back end revenue cycle functions strongly preferred.
Exceptional organizational skills to manage complex changes with a variety of interdependent pieces
Experience with customer native systems such as Epic or athena is a must; experience with advanced technologies such as generative AI is a plus
Background with healthcare data such as 837s/835s, FHIR/CCDA, clinicals, etc.
Resilient, self-motivated, pragmatic team player who is process oriented with a critical eye for detail
*Up to 50% travel is required for this position
