Danaher manages U.S. Payroll & Timekeeping technologies to support our Operating Companies (OpCos) with administering payroll and time locally. To achieve this, we require innovative and dedicated leaders who provide strategic planning, tactical direction, team building and day-to-day oversight. The overarching goal is to build a central team with a forward-thinking operation. The Payroll Operations Solution Architect & Project Lead will serve as the hands-on domain expert for functional design and configuration management across our suite of ADP technologies. This role is responsible for architecting, configuring and driving the implementation of Payroll functionality, enhancements and serving as a subject matter expert in integration projects. This role requires demonstrated functional and technical expertise to understand the requirements, business processes and contribute to the delivery of innovative solutions. With a focus on automation and continuous improvement, this role partners cross-functionally and collaborates with different teams to ensure our technology is effectively managed and enhanced to best support our OpCos. This role will be involved in both day-to-day operational support as well as small to large project work. 

This position is part of the Corporate IT and Business Services team and will be a Remote position.  

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Act as the solution architect for the U.S. Payroll & Timekeeping technologies; understand and maintain awareness of both current and new functionalities and use this knowledge to continually find opportunities to optimize design, lead efforts to implement changes, and monitor improvements. Provide recommendations for technical payroll systems best practices and sound solutions to support end to end business processes
  • Act as the lead for feature releases, performing impact analysis, providing oversight for testing and coordinating with cross functional business users to define scope, prioritize, plan and implement changes and enhancements based on the priority.
  • Provide support for operational activities including troubleshooting system technical and functional issues and coordinate issue resolution with development, technical, and operations teams; develop and maintain documentation of complex requirements, functional and technical specifications and end user job aids; provide mentoring and guidance to the members on team who provide operations support
  • Collaborate with Danaher project managers to develop and execute project plans including identifying test scenarios and provide key support in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), tracking defects/ issues and provide resolution
  • Create, track and manage project plans, timelines, decision, risks and issue logs, identify test scenarios and provide key support in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), track defects/ issues and provide resolution on projects and ensure day-to-day completion of scheduled project tasks and follow-ups with task owners for projects that do not have a Danaher project manager assigned

The essential requirements of the job include:  

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience with ADP mainframe products: Enterprise and/or PayForce
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience with ADP or Kronos TLM products: (e.g.) eTime and/or Workforce Manager
  • Deep knowledge of payroll / ADP implementation processes
  • Prior working experience in a multi-operating company environment with proven experience leading large-scale projects or teams

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 25%, domestic, overnight

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: 

  • Prior payroll implementation or upgrade experience which includes design, configuration and testing
  • Using problem-solving to determine root cause of technical problems with the ability to document effectively, escalate appropriately, and resolve in a timely manner
  • Partnering effectively with cross-functional teams and influence without authority to promote alignment and gain consensus

The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $125,000 - $140,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
