ServiceNow Solution Consultant (Pre-Sales)

Location: Remote within the UK

Salary: Dependent on Experience

Due to Security clearance requirements candidates must be UK national/British passport holder/Single nationality/resided in the UK for 10 years.

To support on-going growth in the ServiceNow market DXC are seeking to expand our Solution Consultant (Pre-sales) team in UK&I. We are looking for Solution Consultants with Architect level experience across the ServiceNow portfolio. A strong understanding of, and certification in, one or more ServiceNow core function areas; Service Operations or Customer Service would be advantageous (wide platform experience highly desirable).

The role:

As a ServiceNow Solution Consultant, working with our Sales team and delivery organsation, you will be a champion of both DXC and ServiceNow leading opportunity development and prospect / client management during pre-sales engagement. As an organisation, platform, and potentially industry expert, you shall scope, design, and deliver outstanding solutions. With a focus on customer, and the necessary knowledge to challenge when applicable, you will create tailored solutions that demonstrate value that results in new business for DXC. Your success is critical to our success.

What does the job involve?

  • Principal Solution Consultant aligned to Pre-Sales activity.

  • Co-ownership of client relationship during Pre-Sales engagement.

  • Support sales team with new prospects: initial meetings, demos, solution positioning.

  • Delivery of outstanding interactions across all media and face to face.

  • Business and platform analysis aligned to engagement demand.

  • Provide expert advice to prospects, clients and internal teams on the ServiceNow application and how this can be used to address business problems.

  • Define technical solutions (at an architectural and design level of detail).

  • Deliver compelling solution demonstrations across the ServiceNow platform.

  • Support the formal sales process, RFI & RFP responses, with responsibility for the overall ServiceNow solution.

  • Ability to establish deep and lasting relationships with clients and team members to enhance the reputation of DXC as an advisor of choice.

  • Supplier engagement and where applicable negotiation.

  • Maintain and grow ServiceNow knowledge, role specific technical knowledge, industry awareness, and market knowledge.

  • Operate as a member of the wider DXC community, sharing knowledge across functions and building your personal network within the company.

  • Contribute to the development of DXC’s ServiceNow based product roadmap.

  • Ensure the project delivery team complies with DXC solution architecture standards and frameworks.

  • Provide support, leadership, and where required mentor junior personnel.

Subject to the successful candidate’s broader skills and experience, it may also be a requirement to be involved in the following:

  • Design and delivery support of technical integrations between ServiceNow, client IT and business services.

  • Lead on the technical aspects of projects based on the ServiceNow platform.

  • Assist development teams in resolving complex technical issues through all stages of the project lifecycle.

  • Lead Sales Account or Service Management of aligned Marquee Account.

What do I need to succeed?

  • Proven experience on ServiceNow or other SaaS platform in a pre-sales, consulting, service delivery, sales, and / or bid management positions.

  • Solution or delivery architect level experience in aligned platform.

  • Deep understanding of the key technologies relevant to the ServiceNow solutions.

  • Understanding of common business analysis techniques and approaches.

  • A proven track record of delivering complex technology solutions time and aligned to budget, ideally aligned to ServiceNow.

  • Experience of agile and traditional software and project methodologies.

  • Able to communicate with impact, in a way that is open, honest, consistent and clear to influence and align stakeholders around a proposed approach.

  • Strong negotiator, influencer and team player, used to managing multiple stakeholders in demanding time-critical situations.

  • Strong drive and resilience to overcome challenges or setbacks to achieve your team/project/client goals.

  • Passionate about areas of expertise, managing your own development by learning continuously from experience and seeking out development opportunities.

  • Able to define and demonstrate value across client / prospect interactions.

  • Certified ServiceNow System Administrator.

  • Certified Implementation Specialist in at least 1 product suite.

You will need to have the ability to work from home and to travel to client locations for meetings and workshops or work on client sites for periods where required.
