As a Junior DevSecOps Engineer at Iron Bow Technologies, you will support the secure and efficient lifecycle of clusters and applications while assisting application teams with monitoring and observability best practices. This role provides hands-on exposure to cloud infrastructure, automation, and performance optimization.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • You will support the end-to-end lifecycle management of clusters and applications with a focus on security and efficiency.
  • You will assist application teams in implementing monitoring and observability best practices.
  • You will develop and maintain custom Grafana dashboards for clients.
  • You will troubleshoot and resolve application performance issues.
  • You will facilitate the integration and onboarding of new products and technologies.
  • You will support log aggregation and analysis using the EFK stack (Elasticsearch, Fluentd, Kibana).
  • You will assist with Kubernetes and containerized application deployments.
  • You will write automation scripts for infrastructure and application management.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams using Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
  • Continuously learning and growing within a fast-paced, technical environment.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Industry experience or previously demonstrated technical skills may be substituted for a college degree.
  • You have experience with AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, IAM, and VPC.
  • You’ve worked with observability and monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, DataDog, Dynatrace, or are familiar with Grafana dashboards.
  • You are familiar with log aggregation and analytics using the EFK stack.
  • You have a basic understanding of service mesh technologies like Istio.
  • You’ve deployed and managed containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • You are comfortable writing automation scripts in Bash or Python and have exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • You have experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • You understand fundamental cloud networking concepts, including DNS, load balancing, and VPNs.
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment and proactively solve technical challenges.
  • You have a strong foundational knowledge of DevOps principles and cloud technologies.
  • You have (or are working toward) certifications such as CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or Network+.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This role is 100% remote. Work must be performed within the United States.
