We are now recruiting for a determined, relationship-driven sales professional to join this successful team as a Regional Sales Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on major civil and drainage projects with a diverse client base in this award-winning team at Marshalls.

So what’s the Mission?

Reporting to the Trading Director, you’ll be using your sales experience to drive growth in a highly competitive market. The key to success in this role is building and strengthening merchant relationships, an area with tremendous potential. This region presents exciting opportunities, and we need someone with the drive and resilience to maximise them.

This area is heavily direct-to-site, with contractors and groundworkers playing a crucial role. There are significant opportunities to develop stronger merchant connections, unlocking valuable leads and driving sustained growth. Independent merchants and groundwork specialists present exciting possibilities for engagement and long-term partnerships.

A collaborative approach is essential, we need someone who is proactive, passionate, and eager to drive results. This is an opportunity for someone who is truly “chomping at the bit” to make an impact—an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and is ready to capitalise on the significant potential in this region.

What are the mission-critical skills?

  • Proven track record in sales with strong commercial experience managing multiple stakeholders, including builders’ merchants, specifiers, and contractors.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, to drive engagement and sales growth.
  • A resilient and determined approach to overcoming challenges and driving business expansion.
  • Strategic thinking with a solutions-based mindset, capable of identifying new opportunities and fostering growth.
  • Knowledge of procurement routes and the ability to negotiate using technical information and product specifications.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, able to influence and engage both internally and externally.
  • Experience/ and or knowledge of our Water Management product range would be a distinct advantage.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in both commercial processes and administration.
  • A customer-centric mindset, ensuring the highest level of service and satisfaction.
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role, with the flexibility to travel and engage with customers across the UK.
