Job description

Job Summary

The Scrum Master will play a critical role in facilitating Agile business analysis and project execution for a government program. This role is responsible for leading Agile ceremonies, identifying business needs, and ensuring efficient backlog refinement and prioritization. The ideal candidate will have experience in business analysis, process improvement, and Agile frameworks, ensuring alignment between stakeholders and development teams.

Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), and staying focused on the assigned tasks including company meetings, and completing other tasks as assigned.  

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements
  • Translate business needs into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance project execution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables align with business objectives
  • Track and analyze Agile metrics to improve team performance and efficiency
  • Remove impediments and escalate risks as needed to maintain project momentum
  • Ensure compliance with government standards and security protocols

Basic Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance required
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Business Analyst
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban)
  • Experience working with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar)
  • Ability to facilitate discussions and drive consensus among stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or a related field
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a government contracting or DoD environment
  • Knowledge of business process modeling and requirements gathering methodologies
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting for process improvement initiatives
