General Overview

The Director of Information Technology will Manage and direct the company’s information technology (IT) operations, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support service. The Director will also oversee all CRM (Salesforce) development and support functions.  This role reports to the VP Technology and has three direct reports, the Senior Salesforce Administrator,  IT Analyst and Senior IT Analyst.

Expected Outcomes

  • Hires and trains IT staff.
  • Schedules, organizes, and assigns projects to members of the IT & Salesforce Teams. 
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
  • Leads development and implementation processes for the organization’s IT systems and department.
  • Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
  • Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
  • Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
  • Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
  • Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Maintains NIST CSF 2.0 Compliance.
  • Establish a data governance model and be EOS’s point of contact for B2B data sharing agreements.
  • Provides a clear vision and strategy for EOS’s CRM platform (Salesforce).

Required Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
  2. Experience:
    • 7+ years of IT experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
    • Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure, network security, and system administration.
    • Experience managing Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
    • Experience leading IT compliance efforts, including cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF).
  3. Certifications:
    • CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent (for cybersecurity).
    • ITIL, PMP, or Agile certifications (for IT service and project management).
    • Salesforce Administrator or similar (for Salesforce management).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Education: Masters Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Experience:
    • Experience in a nonprofit or education-focused organization.
    • Managing IT systems in a remote or hybrid work environment.
    • Implementing data governance models and B2B data-sharing agreements.
    • Developing IT strategies aligned with organizational growth and innovation.
  3. Certifications:
    • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
    • Advanced Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator, Salesforce Architect).
    • NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) Practitioner Certification.
