Job description

A consultancy is looking for a highly organised half-day Personal Assistant. The role is 8h00 - 13h00 and working from home but candidate must reside in the Gardens / Tamboerskloof / City Bowl area. The position suits someone who thrives in a busy fast paced environment and enjoys getting involved with a range of clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Communicate with clients, partners, and other staff as needed.
  • Handle day-to-day administrative tasks including answering calls, emails, and responding to enquiries.
  • Maintain and organise files and documents, ensuring easy access and confidentiality.
  • Plan and coordinate events, both professional and personal, ensuring all details are taken care of.
  • Assist with managing expenses, invoices, and other financial documents.
  • Prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic work environment.
  • Handle personal tasks and errands as needed.
  • Assist with personal shopping, including researching and purchasing items for the household or personal use. This includes clothing, gifts, home goods, and more.
  • Track personal shopping budgets and keep records of purchases.

Requirements
  • Own reliable transport.
  • Full home office and reliable fast internet.
  • Proven experience as a Personal Assistant or in a similar administrative role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
  • A professional and polished demeanour with the ability to interact with various individuals.
  • Highly organised, attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with personal shopping or knowledge of fashion and home decor trends.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com) would be a bonus.
  • Knowledge of event planning and coordination.
  • A background in customer service or public relations.
