About us: Prague is one of the most beautiful European cities as well as the cultural and economic heart of Central Europe. Almost 140 QuidelOrtho employees are supporting the following functions within EMEA Shared Services: Customer Service and Finance team, People & Culture and GIS team. Essential functions:
Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of Power BI dashboards and reports to meet organizational needs.
Design and manage complex data models to ensure efficient data retrieval and storage.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Implement and maintain best practices in data governance, accuracy, and security.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior report developers.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to reporting and data modeling.
Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, tools, and strategies.
Interactions:
Regularly collaborate with business units, IT teams, and key stakeholders to define and refine reporting needs.
Partner with data engineers and database administrators to ensure seamless integration and optimized data pipelines.
Engage with leadership to present reporting capabilities and align deliverables with business goals.
The individual:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL, and ETL processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Advanced knowledge of Power BI, including custom visuals and embedding solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Familiarity with data visualization best practices and design principles.
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with technical and non-technical teams.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
